Speed it Up to address region’s digital infrastructure

Digital Sunshine Coast and Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sunshine Coast have teamed up with Sunshine Coast Council to launch Speed it Up, an Australian-first initiative using an interactive online map to demonstrate where business grade broadband is available across the region. The campaign will also highlight where people cannot access broadband and will forward this information to telecommunication providers so they know where to invest and develop infrastructure in the region. Digital Readiness report reveals small business far from ready

Many Queensland businesses are in a state of “digital paralysis” and lacking the skills and resources to take advantage of new technology, according to new research. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) has released its third annual Digital Readiness Survey and it reveals some concerning statistics for small business. The CCIQ study, done in conjunction with iiNet Business, shows that businesses are less digitally ready in 2015 than they were in 2013. Hitched In wins Startup Weekend Sunshine Coast 2015

Startup Weekend Sunshine Coast concluded last night with a wave of energy and an overwhelming number of connections made between budding entrepreneurs from all walks of life. The marathon weekend started on Friday night with more than 200 in the audience listening to 43 raw concepts pitched in under 60 seconds each.
