Digital Sunshine Coast and Kawana Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to host Coastal Revolution: The future for high-speed internet, an information and networking evening to discuss the future of your business with like-minded people.

The Digital Sunshine Coast Action Plan will also be released at this event, together with the first stage of the digital infrastructure campaign called SPEED IT UP, a two-part project that will:

  • help aggregate demand for business grade broadband, and
  • communicate the regions where business grade broadband is currently available through an integrated user-friendly online map.

Chamber president Linda Delamotte said many businesses in the region relied on high-speed internet to be as effective, efficient and responsive as possible and this event aimed to provide the community with the best options on offer.

“I hope there will be a greater understanding of what the short to medium term plans are for improving internet speeds on the Sunshine Coast, and business people will feel more informed and empowered to find a solution that suits them and their business,” she said.

University of the Sunshine Coast students, who are putting into practice theories learned in their public relations course, have planned the event with the assistance of Kawana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
