The Australian Smart Communities Association Summit will provide the first all-inclusive opportunity to connect with, be introduced to, learn from, and become inspired by national and international leaders at the forefront of what it takes to become a smart city or smart community.

Keynote speaker to share world-first street technology
Dr Lutz Heuser, Chief Technology Officer at the Urban Software Institute (UI)
The UI is an innovation incubator for smart solutions, and Lutz’s work focuses on energy management and transport using sensor-based infrastructure.
He is also Chairman of the German Innovation Roundtable (IRT), a think tank of research-intense industry. In this role he engaged with EU Commissioner Guenther Oettinger on the Smart Cities and Communities Initiative to establish a European Innovation Partnership (EIP) in 2012. Lutz is also Industry Chairman of the Feldafinger Circle, a German think tank which makes information society recommendations.
At the 2016 ASCA Summit, Lutz will demonstrate world-first street technology never seen in Australia before.
