Silicon Coast is proud
to be an EarthTech
strategic partner.

The EarthTech Challenge was designed to empower young people to make the discoveries, create the technologies and build the companies we need to positively impact our future. The goal is to help the world meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

Teams of young people (13-27 years old) were mentored by the world’s leading experts in technology and commercialisation, and supported by a series of integrated webinars, equipping them to submit a final video for judging within one of five categories. (Clean Air, Clean Water, Clean Food, Clean Energy and Circular Economy). Click here to view all the finalists videos

The EarthTech Summit was held 20th to 22nd February 2020 at Makepeace Island. Through the course of the EarthTech Summit, experts, investors, business leaders and academics met and mentored the 10 finalist teams from across the world including Uganda, Nigeria, India, Philippines, Australia and Bangladesh.

It was awesome to meet the inaugural EarthTech Challenge TOP 10 finalists at the Silicon Coast/EarthTech Mentoring Workshop at the Peregian Digital Hub. The Mentoring Workshop was proudly supported by Noosa Council. Teams travelled to Noosa from Uganda, Nigeria, India, Bangladesh, Philippines and Spain. Silicon Coast was very proud to be a part of this truly amazing global event. With over 850 registrations from 73 countries.

The Mentoring Workshop was a great success and was only possible because of the brilliant passionate people who leaned in with unwavering commitment to support the youth and make an impact. The youth of the world shared their ideas to create an IMPACT on the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

Silicon Coast/EarthTech would like to take this opportunity to thank all the mentors for giving up their time for the Mentoring Workshop day at Peregian Digital Hub and Noosa Council for their support under the Economic Development Grant.
