BizDojo to set up coworking spaces in Queensland

New NBN construction plan for the region

NBN Co has announced another 46,600 premises on the Sunshine Coast are set to receive the National Broadband Network (NBN) under its new national rollout plan. The construction work scheduled from December 2014 includes Beerwah (surrounds), Maleny (surrounds), Nambour, Pomona (surrounds), Maroochydore and Wurtulla. Career app for students renamed

Career Hunter, a free app which provides career advice to young people and helps them find jobs in industries with skill shortages, has been relaunched as CareerMe. CareerMe provides details on jobs by industry sector, including top jobs and skill shortages for each sector, and identifies jobs currently available in the user’s location, integrating with www.seek.com.au and www.apprenticeshipcentral.com.au.  The app, developed by The Thumb Factory, was a joint initiative of The Smith Family, Regional Development Australia Brisbane, Busy at Work, Group Training Queensland and the Australian and Queensland Governments. Digital Sunshine Coast brings together major Telcos

RDA Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Council and Noosa Council representatives recently met with several major telecommunications organisations to discuss accelerating investment in digital infrastructure, one of the key actions listed in the Digital Sunshine Coast: Draft Action Plan for public consultation. Participants discussed opportunities to work collaboratively to help businesses and residents access high speed broadband for both economic and social benefit.
